UX and UI Design
For the framework of the platform, our developers used the e-commerce shopper theme. They then customized the theme to fit with the target group and represent the brand’s identity. To begin with, they used a static background picture showing a shot of a bar. This ensures that Funkey’s visitors understand what the platform is all about the second they access it. To make the message even more clear, users are greeted by the the playful question “What if the bar came to you”.
The message is written in a circle mimicking the brands slick and modern logo. Furthermore, the website was design using a petrol-grey color as background and white text, giving it a minimalistic feel.
The platform’s flow was kept to a minimum, as users see only three tabs in the header-menu, “Home”, “Products” and “About us”. Everything else they need is just a scroll away. The most popular products are listed on the homepage. By scrolling over them, users can add products to the basket, view details or, in some cases choose their options. For a better shopping experience, the details and option list show in a pop-up that keeps the customer on the page.
